Lorenzen Wright's death is being investigated as a homicide by the police, according to a report by the Associated Press.

The Shelby County medical examiner's office says that Wright died of a gunshot wound. A 911 hangup call was made from his cell phone on July 19 near the place his body was found. Morey added that Yao has made positive strides in his rehab and all of his medical reports have been positive, as well. This comes pretty quickly after Yao's own statement that he might retire if his foot doesn't fully heal. We'll have to watch to see how this plays out.
