If he was staying, then embrace the city and bring Cleveland joy by announcing it like that.

You must not understand anything about personal brand. Lebron takes 34M to the bank every year in endorsement deals. His decision to go live on a national broadcast with 7:100 American's viewing ESPN last night at 9, was to promote himself.
You can be naive and call it selfish/classless, but I call it opportunity and support Lebron 110% for his decision to soak up an easy promotion of his personal brand. For all you that disagree, you must be a flaming Democrat with no sense of capitalism.
